**J.J. has been adopted as of 4/14/11!!!***♥♥

LOL just had to put in another Bambi voiceover!! seriously, Bambi makes a great voice for shelter dogs 🙂
Say hello to J.J.! (petfinder page here.. http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/18716814 )

J.J. is a friendly little 8 yr old Italian Greyhound-mix. He was just rescued from a kill shelter with his buddy Pappy. Pappy is also listed on our website. They would be happy to go to a home together, but it isn’t required. They can be adopted out separately.

J.J. has cataracts and so his vision is impaired. He’s so good natured about it though. He finds his way around just fine. Because he has impaired vision, we are suggesting J.J. go to a household that doesn’t have little kids. We don’t want the little guy getting trampled!

J.J. is the poster child for “lap dogs” everywhere. He is calm and absolutely loves to snuggle with you. He likes to nap on the couch with his foster mom while the t.v. is on. J.J. is well behaved and not a barker at all. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is fine with cats. More to come on J.J. as we get to know him better.

Interested in meeting and possibly adopting our friend J.J.? Fill-out an online adoption application via www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $300 adoption donation, reference check and home visit are required prior to adoption.

While in the care of the Sadie Mae Foundation, all animals are fully vaccinated, heart worm tested and spayed or neutered. Other medical treatments may be provided to our animals, depending upon their specific needs.

Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation’s adoption process Please note that we do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.

We try to make our adoption process as easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don’t want them to go through this again. Visit www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.
